TOGAF is The Open Group Architecture Framework. It is actually a framework used for enterprise software development. A systematic approach is used here and thereby we can reduce the errors,able to maintain timelines and budget.It is actually free for organizations to use internally,but not for commercial applications. An information system is describing here as a set of building blocks.It shows how the building blocks can be fit together.This framework helps the business organization to define and organize requirements before the starting of the projects.A common language is created and it avoids the gap between IT and business departments so that everyone can understand whatever is going on.TOGAF is based on Architecture Development Method. ADM can be customized based on the organizational need.There are different architectural domains in TOGAF like business architecture, application architecture,data architecture and technical architecture.

Several versions of TOAGF are there,TOAGF 9.1 is the recent.TOAGF also provide certification and training.TOAGF contains a set of tools like ABACUS,BizZDesign etc.
