Which geographical area of BC has Cedar as part of their Culture, also name few different uses of Cedar?

Ther temperate rainforests of coastal British Columbia has Cedar as part of their culture.There exists two native spexies of the Cedar trees i.e  Yellow Cedar and Western Red Cedar. Yellow Cedar are seen to grows at subalpine elevations in damp coastal forests that range from Vancouver Island to Alaska but not found in inland regions.Red Cedar,on the other hand grows both on the coast as well as the  moist slopes and valleys of the Interior.

Different uses of Cedar are :

• The roots of the plants are dried and braided to form cordage that are used for hats and baskets.
• The withes of a cedar tree being strong, lightweight and growing in long strands,are suitable in making ropes and lashing.
• The bark of the tree are dyed and processed to make various types of thread for mats, clothing, blankets, and hats.
• The inner bark of the Yellow Cedar being soft with high absorbability,is used as baby diapers and bedding, sanitary napkins, and towels.
• Cedar wood being strong, lightweight, and straight-grained are easy to split and carve thus making it possible to make totem poles, masks, and long houses.
