Question

Note the diffierent types of ESP: Telepathy, in which one person can "read the mind" of another person. Clairvoyance, in which we believe we can "sense" what happened to another person. For example, if you suddenly have a sense, without any evidence, that a loved one has gotten in a car accident AND your hunch is correct that is clairvoyance. Psychokkinesis, in which we believe that the power of the mind can influence the shape or movement of an object. An example is if someone through the power of their mind can cause a bed to levitate. Precognition is the ability to predict the future. Do you believe in any of these forms of ESP? As the article says.science has not uncovered and proof that ESP exists, but according to the Gallup Poll, almost 50% of Americans believe in it in some form (Hockenbury and Nolan, p. 103). If you do believe in ESP, which type(s) of ESP do you believe in and why? Have you personally experienced ESP or know someone who has? If you don t believe in ESP. why not? The most type of ESP's I believe in are two such as psychokinesis and clairvoyance. I have experience clairvoyance several times. This has happened only with those individuals whom I am in regular contact with and share a strong bond of connection and love. The feeling I experience when one of my closest friends met with an accident a few minutes after the incident happened was strange. The moment I was about to make a call to him, a call from one of the hospital staffs was coming to me stating that my friend had undergone a major accident and is currently admitted in XXX hospital. As far as Psychokinesis is concerned, I have witnessed it several times both as a part of a show and in person. I happened to meet one of the celebrated mind reader who uses psuchokinesis in his shows and we happened to become close friends later on. His power of mind was illustrated when I placed my personal water drinking glass at a distance of 50 yards from him and within a minute the glass was broken which was a great experience.

The failure for science in proving ESP is that there are several phenomena in nature which cannot be seen or felt but can only be experienced. Such phenomena can never be proven. If science can prove the same, then the only possibility is that human intelligence should increase 100x by now as to create a device suitable in detecting ESP energies in our environment
