Maslow says people have needs that have to be fulfilled in order. Basic physiological requirements such as food, water, and shelter need to be made available before anything else can be considered. People need to feel safe after that, and then to be loved and belong to a group. Work-life balance is a topical concern because of the increased amount of technology that reduces the importance of physical position in the relationship of work and life.A central question in the discussion on work-life balance is where accountability falls to maintain a healthy work-life balance for the employees. The general feeling is that employers have a responsibility for their employees ' health; apart from the moral obligation, workers who are stressed out are less successful and more likely to make mistakes.
