One way that the money is used is by the respective candidates running for and. Although candidates in such elections also benefit from free media coverage and ads due to the popularity of the elections in which they run, it is not unusual to hear or see commercials aimed at helping specific candidates win the majority of a particular vote. Recently, though, it seems, this commercial is being used less and less to support a particular candidate's values and their positions on specific topics, and more and more to criticize or discredit the opponent's character of that party.

In politics money is pervasive. Election campaigns, political parties, interest groups, nonprofit organizations and the media are highly dependent on income, or more generally on material capital. It relies on support to both coordinate social action and reach out to voters, journalists and politicians For staff and rented offices or contact facilities to meet the people

Money helps political parties to attract and train new and socially inclusive political leaders from diverse social backgrounds. Money helps politicians to connect with voters with fresh ideas and question conventional political leaders, making elections more competitive. Exposure to funding forms electoral competition between political parties and candidates. Well-funded candidates are likely to beat those opponents who have less resources. The sum of money that is in the war chest of a candidate will decide victory or defeat. Regulation of money in politics can influence the process of political competition within certain limits, promote party organizations and set incentives

Money is one of several political outlets, for better or for worse Participation by giving money , making donations or expressing their views for people engaging in politics. Likewise, interest groups manipulating politics by campaign contributions often have other tools at their fingertips such as lobbying, creating personal networks or direct corruption. Finally, money is a required means for political parties to make politics more inclusive by allowing working and middle-class leaders to stay out of politics when otherwise political office was limited to a select group of the social and economic elite.
