How do images help to shape culture? Which component, type of visual message, and medium is most influential? Why?
Images help to shape culture. Images are the visual language of
a culture. These images tell people what they need to know and how
they should think. It is important that we all understand the
cultural norms of our culture. If we look at the movies, it is
clear that many of them have no ethnic diversity. Many have white
men as the main characters and all of the women are white and very
attractive. The problem is that the main characters have no idea
that they are not considered equal by society. Cultural norms can
also be different in the same country. If we travel to countries
where the cultural norms are very different, we might find that
things are much different. Images are very important for our
culture. Our culture influences all that we do. However, we may not
realize that these images are being shaped by an invisible force
that you cannot see. We also may not realize that these images help
to shape your children's lives. Children who grow up with poor
moral values are more likely to have low self esteem later in life.
If you teach your children the correct values early on, they will
be more likely to respect these values when they become adults. As
your children get older and you begin to witness what is happening
to their cultural norms, you might feel helpless. You might wonder
if you can do anything about this. However, by being aware of
cultural norms and the way that people perceive them, you can teach
your children how to act according to what is acceptable.Cultures
come from somewhere. Some of this comes from within our genes and
some comes
from the environment we live in. It is up to us to help shape the
way our culture shapes us. by creating a culture that is based
around who we really are. One of the ways that images can help to
shape the culture is by changing the way we really are. One of the
ways that images can help to shape the culture is by changing the
way we look at ourselves. If we see ourselves as perfect, we are
more likely to think that we are not capable of doing the things
that are expected of us. When we see ourselves as less than
perfect, we are more likely to be less than perfect.
