Answer #1

One of the most important things about using technology for assessment in early childhood learners is that they may not be able to use the technology effectively which may be due to their inability to understand how to navigate the pages and understand the instructions completely. Secondly, using technology assisted assessment would slow down their process because if they are unfamiliar with the platform or the equipment, they may find it difficult. Thirdly, they may not be able to ask for clarifications or limited attention span of the early learners would prevent them from focusing on the tasks as they would be easily distracted.

It’s true that when learners know the assessment parameters, expectations and the grading systems in the form of the rubrics, they would be able to show increased attention and become more serious about taking those assessments. When they are entrusted with the responsibility of their learning if they are involved in the development of the assessment. One of the most important reasons for this is because when people engage in an act, they would become familiar with that and they would understand the expectations and view them as more realistic. Secondly, only when they know what is acceptable and unacceptable answers or styles, they would be able to focus on learning about them.
