You are the new head of research for FutureTech Robotics. You have the mission of creating the next Humaniod Robot for the nursing homes for caregiving purpose of senior citizens. You team is a diverse team and some of your team members are working from overseas. What are your challenges as a Project Manager? Discuss your solutions for each challenge.

As a project manager you would face the following challenges:

1. Managing a team that comprises of members from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
2. Some of the team members are working from overseas, thus interaction with them would be limited and strictly adhering the digital platform. Hence, personal face-to-face interaction of all team members would not be possible.

In order to resolve the first problem, the project manager must use his/her communication skills and interpersonal skills to promote a team culture. Provide equal opportunities to all and allow employees to present their thoughts and ideas openly. Further, give team-building activities and improve communication within the team.

For overcoming the second challenge, the project manager must use technology wisely. Using Zoom or Google meet for online meetings is effective. Also, ensure there is free flow of information within the team, irrespective of the location of employees.
