Answer #1

465. Answer; a) 2000 ml

Reason ; According to the patient weight, the formula concentration would be 1.5 cal/ ml.
Here the patient is supposed to get 3000 calories,
Therefore the formula contain 3000 / 1.5 = 2000 ml.
So the patient need 2000 ml to meet the daily formula order.

466. Answer; b) 108 g

Reason ; From the above mentioned question, its been understood that the patient had a formula amount of 2000 ml which is 2L, In this total amount of formula , the protein concentration is 54 gm/ L.
Since for the total formula , it would be 54 x 2 = 108 g of protein.

467. Answer; b) 89 ml

Reason ; In an usual case, the additional water for the patient would be 35 ml per kg, here the weight of the patient is 104 kg,
Therefore he need 104 x 35 = 3640.
But in addition the patient is receiving specific formula with certain amount of free water with amount of 75% in the given formula.
So the actual amount of water taken in that formula would be 2000 x 0.75 = 1500.

Since the client is already taking 1500 ml from the formula given, so the addition water would be
3540 - 1500 = 2140 ml per day.
Therefore for every hour , it would be 2140/ 24 = 89 ml
