(d) intron ;;;;splicing

In eukaryotic mRNA there are exons and introns where exons are the coding region and introns are non coding regions. During the process of transcription in eukaryotes, the mRNA has to be processed before the translation by undergoing small changes such as 5' end capping with 7mG and 3' polyadenylation and splicing.

Splicing is the process of removal of the non coding intronic regions from the mRNA and joining together the coding exons. After splicing the end modification happens and transported to the cytoplasm for the translation.

In prokaryotes there is no exon and intron regions and its genome is very small.

Reverse transcription is the process of "converting the mRNA to DNA with the help of the enzyme called reverse transcriptase". Recombination takes place in the chromosome which results in the shuffling of genes or alleles. Transposon are known as "jumping elements" which can change its position in the DNA which are actually a sequence of DNA.
