Here, I have chosen Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs theory as new motivation program, this program will be designed for Golf Course staff that can enhance the performance level and that will further increase revenue and profit level of the Golf course.

Management and leadership team will motivate their staff by designing this program using the Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs theory, such design will include:

  • Golf course staffs are essential and they need definite care for various physiological needs, such needs could include water, foods, air, shelter, good sleeping, etc. hence, they will design the entire program that must come with providing all such physiological needs, so, they must not think or worry about such needs as with the lacking of such needs, they could not put any attention on their work or playing.
  • Leadership team should motivate their staffs by providing safety needs, such needs could include job retention, general security, health care, etc. they should ensure that all team members must feel themselves fully safe and under care, so they could put maximum attention on their tasks.
  • They should help Golf Course staffs to receive Love and belonging needs, so, staffs can be reachable to their family, friends, as staffs would be much happy if they could see their family members and they could be associated with them in a place, so, they would feel more motivated to perform for the company over long time.
  • Those Golf Course staffs are performing well, they should be recognized for their performance, such staffs should be given flexibility and recognition based on performance, so, they could understand the result behind good performance, hence, they could innovate more to perform good in Golf course program.
  • All top performers should be given leading role, so, they could build new team and they could extend their career by taking more superior responsibilities and senior assignment.

Business department of golf course could include administration, Golf team management, Human Resource, here, each department could design the motivation program using Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, such program will help their staffs to receive all needs, further, leadership team will also get aware about the needs and they could put more attention on such needs, they could take suggestions from various staffs, players, team members. Team members will perform with their highest level of commitment if they feel satisfied with various levels of needs as stated in the Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs theory.
