Engineering Management Question Worth 40 Marks.

1)  Explain why as a Professional Engineer it is important to undertake your duties in a professional and sustainable manner using the ICE code of conduct as the basis of your answer.

According to Code of Ethics, a Professional engineer must acquire highest standards of safety, honesty, integrity, public health with his/her profession, this profession directly impact on human's life.

The duties of professional engineer are:

i) Always avoid fruadlent works.

ii) must maintain honesty and integrity to their works.

iii) Always thoughtful for human's life in each decesions and plans

iv) Always do work with responsibility, lawfully and ethically to maintain and enhance their respect.

Besides, of thought for human's life, a professional engineer must be responsible for sustainable development i.e to take care of the environment in their plans and works. Environment is also a key factor, without environment we are nothing. A professional engineer must plan, design and develop any product or structure with sustainable or environment friendly equipments and products, that must not hamper or create environment pollution.

So as a professional enginner, it is very important to undertake their duties as professional and also as sustainable manner.
