Answer - Shaping
Shaping is the process of conditioning of a target behavior by reinforcing specific behaviors until they resemble the target behavior. It is a gradual process in which successive behaviors (behaviors closely resembling the target behavior) are rewarded until the target behavior has been performed or conditioned.
Other options are incorrect because S delta, also known as stimulus delta, is the stimulus that elicits a particular response but that response does not get reinforced. Habituation occurs when a stimulus that initially elicits a particular response stops eliciting the same response due to repeated exposure to that stimulus. Dishabituation occurs when a new stimulus (which is immediately followed by the original stimulus) elicits the response that had previously extinguished due to habituation. Both stimuli elicit the same response that got habituated previously.
Specific behaviors that are reinforced during the shaping process because they more and more resemble the...

A gas undergoes a process in a piston–cylinder assembly during which the pressure-specific volume relation is pv1.1 = constant. The mass of the gas is 0.4 lb and the following data are known: p1 = 160 lbf/in.2, V1 = 1 ft3, and p2 = 390 lbf/in.2 During the process, heat transfer from the gas is 2.1 Btu. Kinetic and potential energy effects are negligible. Determine the change in specific internal energy of the gas, in Btu/lb.
a new stimulus-response association is classically conditioned, it must be paired with the old stimulus occasionally or reinforced to avoid a. second-order conditioning. b. extinction. c. stimulus generalization. d. stimulus discrimination. 68. In a study of college students with no history of emotional disturbance, students with higher right hemisphere activation were a. less likely to experience their first depressive episode. b. more likely to experience their first depressive episode. c. made depressed by the researchers. d. less likely to experience...
6.The snRNAs play a dual role during splicing, recognizing specific sequences that dictate the the branching and splicing sites and catalyzing the splicing reaction directly. 7.______ is (are) so extensively modified post-transcriptionally that more than 10% of all nucleotides in the mature molecule(s) are altered to yield modified nucleotides 8. A process called alternative splicing can produce mRNAs with _______ from the same gene
Dilution is a process in which the concentration of a solution is lowered by adding more solvent. Some of the reasons dilutions are performed are to minimize measurement errors when preparing a series of solutions at different concentrations, to save time and laboratory space, and to make more accurate measurements on an analytical balance when the target concentration is very low. The new concentration of a diluted solution can be determined from the following equation, sometimes called the dilution equation,...
According to Robert Trivers, why are men generally larger and more physically aggressive than women? Because women are more reproductively “valuable” than men, hence competition for mates is fiercer among men Because men invest more heavily in reproduction than women Because men secrete more testosterone Trivers’ theory does not speculate on the origin of the sex difference in size and physical aggression Although some women are interested in casual sex (short-term mating), research has suggested that there are differences in...
Ms. Olsen and Mr. Parker both teach Physical education at Putnam Grove Elementary school, and have, after assessing the need for their students to have more opportunities for physical activity, decided to start an after school run club. The afterschool clubs and programs at PGE are typically very popular with the students, so Ms. Olsen and Mr. Parker have decided to cap run club membership at 100 students for the first year, until they can determine how many more students...
