Answer #1

Vitamin D.

The precursor for vitamin D is cholecalciferol that is present in the lower epidermis of skin . Vitamin D is synthesized from the chemical reactions from cholecalciferol in the presence of sun light or when our skin is exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D from diet or any other sources are inactivated . Cholecalciferol is converted to 25 hydroxycholecalciferol then to 25 hydroxyergocalciferol then to colcalcitriol or D3. Calcitriol is the active form of vitamin D. Vitamin D cause rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults.
