Transcriptional activators function at molecular level in bacteria and eukaryotes following similarity and differences with mechanism and action are discussed below-

Transcriptional activator in bacteria generally that binds to the sites of targeted promoter that plays a function with other forms of DNA binding domains with RNA polymerase holoenzyme, to activate specific DNA sites. Bacteria use a varity if mechanism of action that can interact with specific promoters in response to growth signals that change its preferences for activation that are focused on RNA polymerase. In contast to transcription initiation as a similarity and differences with transcriptional activator a in eukaryotes that couples the energy generated from ATP hydrolysis to the isomerisation which is known as UASs.

Transcriptional activator function and mechanism of action in compare and contrast with the bacteria generally involves Gal11 that has modest effect on activation that makes differential contribution to transcriptional activation. As a similarity with bacteria it involves in site-specific photocrosslinking of the activator that directs towards the targets of two CAP-activating cystein containing proteins. The triple flag epitope makes the differences with bacteria that crosslinks the activator in PICs and TFIID which makes alternative interactions.
