Management is the concept where to forecast, to plan, to organize, to actuate, to command, to coordinate and control activities of others, especially the employees in the organization or the workplace. The substantial period of time of an employee spends in their respective workplaces each day, these provide an opportune setting for interventions addressing the concerns and interests. The management concepts starting with planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Planning is the thinking of an action in advance or prior to the decision. Organizing is the coordination of the human, technological, and material resources of an organization. Actuating is completely based on the motivation and direction of subordinates. Controlling means the attempt to keep or ensure no deviation from the norms or plans. The implementation practices are strictly backing based on the management concepts and the adaptability of the concepts to the implementation practices in the workplace.
Concepts or Implementation Practices
The extending on concepts taught to assess the effects of strategies for better improving the implementation of the workplace‐based regulations, rules, policies, or practices. By implementing agile workplaces or better working spaces, and the move is widely recognized as an effective strategy for reaching better human talent, improving the employee experience, and boosting the overall productivity of the organization as well as the employees. The below steps learned by focusing on the implementation in the workplace are:
(i) Enlist the champions – the smart environments initiative in the workspace was implemented based on floor-by-floor, space-by-space champions were directly recruited from each team and that would be impacted by the upcoming ideas to share, better productivity, and flexible workspaces.
(ii) Establishment of goals – Set goals for the team and the employees in the workplace. Everyone in the organization adheres to the clean desk policy, workplace roles, and everyone moves around within the agile space at timely sections per week.
(iii) Anticipate the obstacle – After the goals, the next important step for implementing changes in the workplace is to identify the potential obstacles at first place that could fuel resistance and possibly through derail the project. Always seek to uncover the potential resistance prior to implementing change.
(iv) Develop a plan – For implementing change in the organization is time taking process or slow, the right incremental steps help people to adjust, develop, and become more comfortable in the new flexible environment a little at a time or change effectively to the new workplace.
(v) Address technology and safety issues – For agile working practices at the work for the more mobile workforces, it’s crucial or essential that directly related to technology issues are more addressed while implementing changes in the workplace. The best results come through the implementation of utilization tracking and making workplace management technology to get the facts or procedures about how people are using the space. For safety issues concerns, when people will be sharing the desks, you may need to purchase new chairs, furniture, desks, monitor stands or mounts to accommodate every workforce needs.
(vi) Implement changes by systematic method or week-by-week – The implementation is crucial and the time putting the changes in place is more important. The weekly implementation of the changes is a mandate for efficiently establish the changes.
(vii) Make the right policy changes and train management – It is important to implementing change in the right workplace can be especially difficult for some level of managers, or untrained staff. So it is crucial to offer the right module of policy changes and training of the management.
(viii) Ensure to provide post-implementation support – Address the stages and provide post-implementation support based on the management concepts, ensure to take the steps in place. It should also be important for monitoring the use of agile spaces at all times, and jumping into a proactively address and issues.
