Answer #1

Ans17. Biochemical tests

Viruses are classified on the basis of-

  • Virus Morphology which includes shape and size
  • Nucleic acids (DNA or RNA and Single stranded or double stranded)
  • Number of capsomeres

Ans.18) the krebs cycle

No. Of NADH molecules generated -

  • During glycolysis- 2 NADH
  • During Krebs cycle- 6 NADH (3 from 1 acetyl CoA)
  • Acidic fermentation and alcoholic fermentation- no NADH as NADH produced during glycolysis are regenerated during fermentation.

In Electron transport system, NADH is oxidized not produced.

Ans.19) release

There is a layer of lipids surrounding the capsid in case of enveloped viruses. This envelope is majorly made of host cell membrane and is acquired during release.

Ans.20) protein part of Holoenzyme

Holoenzyme = Apoenzyme + cofactor

cofactor may be Coenzyme( loosely bound) prosthetic group ( tightly bound).
