Answer #1

There are many different types of research designs. For this scenario, I would recommend an Experimental Research Design. That is our research method will be experimental in nature. We will take a controlled group of participants, i.e., students and experiment whether our course curriculum is beneficial to the students and try to address all the questions mentioned.

Abstract:

We enrolled 20 students in a newly designed course curriculum to upgrade students to latest Pyschological Designs and Quantitative analysis methods. We applied Experimental Design Research to just experiment wthether the students became successful in this course and whether some types of students were more successful in this course than other students. We checked their learning skills before and after the course curriculum to evaluate their learning outcomes and see how much they have been able to upgrade their skills. We also analyzed whether one type of teaching method or activity was better than any other and whether they were better predictors of student success than others.Whether face to face study method was more helpful or whether online method was more helpful. We also analyzed what kinds of student support were needed. Whether they required direct intervention or whether they required some solution to the chapters for some initial hand holding or wheher they required online videos and relevant study materials at regular intervals etc.

Method:

We took a controlled group of 20 students and enrolled them to upgrade themselves on a specific curriculum such as Pyschological Designs and Quantitative methods. Before beginning the course, we had taken a complete background of the students so that we can conclude which kind of students were responding better to the course curriculum. We had made the students to appear a test to intitially test their skills so that we can compare how they have upgraded themselves after the curriculum. We had given them a questinnaire to fill whether face to face or online studies were better after experimenting with both. We also checked whether the course curriculum was adequate for their learning or they required some more chapters included after making them appear tests at regular intervals. We also had a lot of student activities, case studies, students made to study and teach a few chapters etc and checked whether some learning activity was a better predictor of student success by evaluating each such study methods or learning activities. Finally we had given a questionnaire to students to fill up and let us know what kind of extra support they needed.

Conclusion:

We saw a massive improvement in student performance after following the above methods of Experimental Design techniques. The students were evaluated at each stage and their concerns were addressed. We changed our course training and student support methods after regular communication with the students. We could figure our what types of students fared better, that is like whether the students that had Mathematics or Statistics as a subject in their 12th standard were better at the subjects than others who did not have Mathematics or Statistics in their 12th grade. We also checked whether our course curriculum were adequate or whether the students needed some more support or extra coaching. We found that students did a bit better at face to face training training than online coaching. We also analyzed to find the learning activities that students would find helpful for the future, They preferred to learn and teach the best method. So our study was very conclusive and we had data to analyze the same.

Part B - How does this research relate to your biology course? The following graph shows the frequency distribution of a heritable trait -- fur color -- in a hypothetical deer mouse population. The x-axis represents variation in fur color from light to dark. The y-axis represents the percentage of individuals in the population with each particular color of fur. 333 There are three ways in which natural selection can alter the frequency distribution of a heritable trait, such as...
