  • There are many nutrients present And it is rich in DNA because it is polyploidy (the cells have more than two copies of the set of chromosome )  
  • For the extraction purpose the cell have cell wall and it is not easy to break.
  • Thus, the cells are first heated to make the cell  porous so that detergents can also act easily. B
  • Then the pH will be changed thus sodium bicarbonate is used that have the physiological pH for the DNA.
  • After the extraction, DNA is precipitated with the help of alcohol.
