One of the most important stressors that I experience is balancing my personal and academic life. This would mean that the continuous routine of attending classes, assignments, tests etc. leaves less time for me to focus on my personal life which causes more stress. It has led me to relationship issues because I’m not able to manage my time effectively. I manage this stress by prioritizing my activities on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and stick to them strictly. Overcoming distractive activities over phone and social media helps me stat focused with the tasks thus saving enough time for personal activities. Secondly, I experience lots of peer pressure that force me to forego some of my familial and academic works. I have made up my mind not to give in to peer pressure but assert myself to others that I respect them but completing my academic tasks are more important and join them later. Finally, I also undergo the usual performance stressor that makes me worried because every time when there is an assessment, I would become nervous and stressed out which would affect my performance. However, I manage it by planning a study schedule and stick to it strictly while also discussing them with my friends in group study.
