Answer #1

a) Total score of each respondent:

respondent 1 = 4 + 5 + 5 + 3 =17

respondent 2 = 5 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 14

respondent 3 = 5 + 5 + 5 + 4 = 19

respondent 4 = 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 11

respondent 5 = 5 + 4 + 4 + 4 =17

b) Mode: The value with highest frequency

Median: Middle most value. Here n = 5 odd therefore median is the (n+1)/2 = 3rd value of the ordered data.

Statement median mode
I like watching movies 5 5
I often go to the cinema 4 5
The service in the cinemas is excellent 4 4,5
I consider the appropriate box office price 3 3,4

c) Interval in the preference

  preference Interval
I like watching movies 3 - 5
I often go to the cinema 2 - 5
The service in the cinemas is excellent 3 - 5
I consider the appropriate box office price 2 - 4

General range of the survey = 2 - 5

d) Average of each respondent = Total score of each respondent / Number of assertion.

Respondent Average
1 17/4 = 4.25 \approx 4
2 14/4 = 3.5 \approx 3
3 19/4 = 4.75 \approx 5
4 11/4 = 2.75 \approx 3
5 17/4 = 4.25 \approx 4

** However since here likert scale is used and the data is ordinal average is not a good measure of central tendency.
