Answer #1

FTE stands for full time equivalents. FTE represents hours worked by employees on full time basis. this is used to convert hours hours worked by several part time employees intothehours worked by full time employees.

AS PER QUESTION

1) Employee A works 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM which means 8 hours per day. He works on M,W,F which means 3 days per week.

so his total working hours per week is 8\ast3 = 24 hours per week

2) Employee B works noon to midnight which means 12 hours per day. he works on T,T,H which means 3 days per week.

So his total working hours per week is 12\ast3 = 36 hours per week

NOTE:- Since timing of noon and midnight is not given in the question so it is assumed that he works from 12:00 AM(noon) - 12:00 PM(midnight).

3) Employee C works 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM which means 16 hours per day. He works on SA and SU which means 2 days per week.

So his total working hours per week is 16\ast2 = 32 hours per week.

4) Employee D works 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM wahich means 4 hours per day. He works on M,W,F which means 3 days per week.

So his total working hours per week is 4\ast3 = 12 hours per week.

NOW, TOTAL WORKING HOURS OF EMPLOYEES(A+B+C+D)

24+36+32+12 = 104 hours.

FTE = 104\div40 = 2.6 ANSWER.

NOTE: Since fulltime work week is not mentioned in the question so it's assumed that fulltime workweek is 40 hours.

    a) Calculate the Overtime Hours (Column F). The formula for Overtime Hours is based on each employee’s Total Hours Worked and is dependent on which department the employee works in. If the Total Hours Worked (column D) is greater than the assigned hours designated by the employee’s department (as listed in the table on rows 24 and 25), then the Overtime Hours is the Total Hours Worked minus the assigned hours. If the employee’ Total Hours Worked are less than...
