The managers of a company generally tries to provide sufficient access and usage privileges to its employees so that they do not face any challenges while working. If the employees have enough access to informative resources while working in an information technology service based company, then it will give them freedom to think and take creative initiative towards process improvement. While granting these privileges, the managers have to frame compliance policies to control any misuse of the resources by any employee. Prohibit sharing of password, use of resources for personal purposes, maintaining data confidentiality, etc are some of the key measures taken by the manager to control the data from being misused.
The most critical Information Technology issue to be faced in future will be to maintain the confidentiality of the company's data as many employees are leaving their jobs and then using the companies confidential data for personal benefit. When a person leaves the job, his access can be revoked however it is not possible to eradicate the information which is in his mind.
