Answer #1

8. D. Cerebrospinal fluid is present between Arachnoid mater and Piamater.

9. A. The spinal cord ends at the level of 1st and 2nd lumber vertebrae.

10. B. The spinal puncture places the needle at the central canal of spinal cord. This is done to collect the cerebrospinal fluid.

11. A. There are 31 pairs of spinal nerves - 8 cervical, 12 thoracic, 5 lumber, 5 sacral and 1 coccygeal.

12. E. Individual nerve fibres are surrounded by Endoneurium, a connective tissue covering. The axons are present in groups called Fascicles. Each fascicle is surrounded by a connective tissue sheath called Perineurium. A nerve is again covered by another connective tissue covering called Epineurium.

13. E. Nerves arising from Cervical and Brachial plexus supply Diaphragm.
