Answer #1

1. Some of the key factors that have increased the speed at which diseases can spread in a population are lack of public health laws and policy, lack of awareness and need of voluntary cooperation by public. Public health laws set procedures and policies for mandatory health check ups, vaccinations, prevention of spread of infectious diseases, spreading awareness about diseases, educating public and counselling them. Public support is also required as government bodies alone cannot make the whole process successful as voluntary cooperation is necessary to stop the spread of diseases.

The attempts to limit these and educate public is encouraging participation of public in healthcare movement and spreading awareness across different areas and sections to take measures for prevention of diseases through community health programs, government support and increasing transparency and accountability in whole process.

2. The various determinants of the social and physical environmental domains that contribute to obesity, poor diet, and other chronic diseases are Income, occupation , education, stress, social inequalities, social support and structure, transportation mechanisms, pollution levels, food habits and sources, work surroundings, exposure to sources affecting pregnancy, genetics and biological traits.

3. Some of the stimuli that have been found over the past 20 years to trigger the stress response in the body are economic crisis, lack of social interaction, harsh environmental conditions, lack of employment or livelihood sources, public and governmental apathy to crisis, loss of permanent shelter or housing. I have indirectly experienced the crisis related to law and social order conditions and directly experienced the lack of stable housing facilities, gender bias and basic amenities like power, water and food. It affected me by causing economic loss, losing focus for progress and growth, losing social groups and friend, inability to offer support to near and dear ones. There shuld be more active public grievances support systems to solve problems, social support and basic security systems and more empathy among authorities responsible for social and law order conditions.

4. Some of the problems that have emerged as a result of the authority of management of public health residing with the states are lack of public awareness, lack of voluntary involvement of public in healthcare, more dependence on legal procedures, lesser say of public in decision making, need for percolation of different measures to different social levels of society and long term impact and gaps created due to inefficiences and inactions.
