Regarding Streptococcus mutans

Which metabolic class does this organism fall into (photoautotroph, etc)? Where specifically does it get its energy, electrons, and carbon from?

Streptococcus mutans found in oral cavity and responsible for tooth decay. They ferment sorbitol, sucrose, and mannitol. Therefore, they are chemoautotrophs. The bacteria produce glucans from sucrose which generally found in our food. The yielded glucans further use by cells to produce energy.
