1.) Describe the nutritional strategies used by protists?
2.) .What are the key differences between fungi and bacteria?
Answer:
1).
Some protists are autotrophs that perform photosynthesis due to the presence of chloroplasts and synthesisze their own food materials. Some are heterotrophs as they do not have chloroplasts and absorb organic molecules. Few protists are mixotrophs (combine photosynthesis and heterotrophic nutrition). They get food by photosynthesis aor from organic material.
2).
Fungi are eukaryotic multicellular organisms whereas bacteria are unicellular prokaryotes. As fungi are eukaryotes, they possess true nucleus and all cell organelles (except chloroplasts) whereas bacteria do not have true nucleus and do not have cell organells.
