Ans.19. Karyotype- it is the chromosomal complement of an organism.it is made by the arrangment of Metaphase chromosome pairing in a standard sequence. INn human karyotype there are three classes of chromosomes according to position of centromere namely Metacentric, Sub metacentric and Acrocentric, Telocentric absent in human. according to size Large, Small, Medium, and smallest. according XX and XY.

Two true breeding strains of peas, one with yellow and round seeds and the other with green and wrinkled seeds, were crossed. All the F1plants had yellow and round seeds. When these F1 plants were test crossed to the green and wrinkled parental strain, the following offspring were obtained: 30 yellow and round; 20 green and round; 26 yellow and wrinkled; 28 green and wrinkled. R. C. Punnett conducted experiments on the inheritance of traits in the sweet pea, Lathyrus odoratus. In one experiment, he crossed two different true-breeding sweet pea plant strains, one with erect petals and long pollen, and the other with hooded petals and round pollen. All the offspring (F1F1 generation) had erect petals and long pollen (Figure 1). Figure 1. Sweet pea plant cross Next, Punnett allowed the F1F1 generation to self-fertilize and recorded the phenotypes of their offspring. The data...

On the island of Notion, in the Factotum Archipelago, there lives a population of pencil bears. A portion of these bears have silky fur, and as a result, are much better surfers. The texture of the fur is determined by a single autosomal locus with two alleles: S (trait allele) and s (wild type allele). In a recent study, researched collected the values in the following table: Table 1. Counts of Pencil Bear fur style by genotype Phenotype Genotype Silky...
