Answer #1

Body temperature is an independent determinant of heart rate in isolated hearts. Heart beat changes approximately 10 beats per minute per degree centigrade. So, a 10 degree centigrade change in temperature changes heart rate by 100 beats per minute. This result indicate that temperature is an independent determinant of heart rate in isolated hearts.
