Psychodynamic theory- This theory says that psychological factors are important to lead the human behavior such as unconscious urges and drives push individual to do particular behavior. Childhood experiences become the base of adult behavior and personality. This theory tells that how the emotions and feelings are related with the past experiences.
Behavior theories- Learning and conditioning is very important for occurance of particular behavior. The reaction towards environmental stimuli shape the action.
Cognitive theories- These theories emphasise that mental processes, thoughts are the base for the occurance of emotions and behavior. Individual acts or respond on the basis of information processing in mind, thoughts, concepts, memories etc. Cognitive theories compare the human mind functioning with a computer.
Ecological systems model- It deals with the development of an individual in context of his ecology. It deals with human interaction with community and society. The interaction if inherent qualities of a child and environment influence the growth and development of that child.
