2) In clinical applications of the Kirby-Bauer test, diluted cultures (for the McFarland standard comparison) must be used within 30 minutes. Why is this important? (hint: remember 30 minutes is only about 1 generation time, so assume the cells are not dying)

Microorganism suspension has higher chances to die if they are held for longer period in saline and Kirby Bauer relies on the standard comparison. 30 minute is the standard generation time and broth culture left standing past 30 minutes have chances to turn too turbid and will not eligible to standard comparison.
