Answer #1

We have to use the serial dilution method

C1 V1 = C2 V2

Here we have to prepare 0.1% SDS solution from 10%SDS stock solution for making 500 ml buffer.

Therefore we have now C1= 10 ,V1 ? , C2 = 0.1and V2 = 500

C1 V1 = C2V2

10× V1 =.0.1 ×500

V1 = (0.1×500)÷10

V1= 5 ml

Therefore the amount of 10% SDS stock solution that needs to be added is 5 ml
