  • 1.No,Maslow doesnt believe that the order of needs is set;Maslow (1943) initially stated that individuals must satisfy lower level deficit needs before progressing on to meet higher level growth needs. However, he later clarified that satisfaction of a needs is not an“all-or-none” phenomenon.Maslow noted that the order of needs might be flexible based on external circumstances or individual differences. For example, he notes that for some individuals, the need for self-esteem is more important than the need for love. For others, the need for creative fulfillment may supersede even the most basic needs.
  • 2.In short, behaviorism focuses on external observable behavior. For example, Ivan Pavlov’s experiments on dogs that lead to the development of the concept of classical conditioning.Cognitive psychology deals with mental processes like memory, perception, thinking etc.
  • Cognition is a process of the mind faculties. It's how you interpret things, how you recognize things, it's how you believe in something, it is also how you weigh and count things, and things of this nature. The inner working of the mind are at play with cognition.
  • Behaviors are a reflection of the capaity of ones cognition. If one has confronted and over come life problems, they have aquired the cognitive functions that come with those solutions. The more one exercises their cognition, the better the behavior. So,I support cognitivism more than behaviourism. And,I guess both are kind of related to one another.
