please help me construct an ungrouoed frequency distribution as seen above... also pelase help me find the mean and modal class.

Children of U.S. Presidents The data show the number of childre modal class. 0 7 0 5 5 6 5 0 4 1 3 4 10 2 6 7 4 4 3 3 6 3 8 8

Answer #1

Solution:

Construction of ungrouped frequency distribution.

Class(X) frequency (f) fx
0 5 0
1 3 3
2 4 8
3 6 18
4 4 16
5 4 20
6 4 24
7 2 14
8 2 16
9 0 0
10 1 10
Total \LARGE \sum f =35 \LARGE \sum f x=129

We find mean of frequency distribution.

\LARGE Mean = \bar x =\frac { \sum fx}{\sum f}

\LARGE Mean = \bar x =\frac { 129}{35}= 3.6857142

\LARGE Mean = \bar x= 3.6857

Mode :The observation which occurs most frequently is known as mode .

Here maximum number of observations is 6

Modal class is 3

Mode = 3
