1. The ladder is nothing but a set of standards that are indeed used to identify the approximate size of a molecule run on a gel during electrophoresis on the whole.

2. Restriction enzymes originate in bacteria and are used to kill viruses.

3.filter disk is used to remove any impurities of the membrane leaving only nucleic acid bound to the silica gel on the whole.
