“Ethics must not- indeed cannot- be psychology, but it does not follow that ethics should ignore psychology.” (Plaisance, 2014) There are different types of moral exemplars that vary on the individual’s culture and background. Personality traits and ethics are major role players in moral exemplars. Overall, personality, ethics, and morals are all interconnected. And although they are different, they may overlap each other at times.

2. How does this week’s assigned chapter of Meeting the Ethical Challenged of Leadership support, contradict or illuminate this article?
I believe this week’s assigned chapter of Meeting the Ethical Challenged of Leadership supports the article Virtue in Media: The Moral Psychology of U.S. Exemplars in News and Public Relations. This week’s chapter discusses six elements of moral action, which are: moral imagination; moral identification and ordering; moral evaluation; tolerating moral disagreement and ambiguity; integrate managerial competence with moral competence; a sense of moral obligation. (Johnson, 2017).
Although many studies before have been conducted separating the relationship between such characteristics and elements, Johnson speaks of the importance to think of these as interconnected.
