Think a bit more about why your first simulation might have produced genotype frequencies among the zygotes that were different from our ideal expectations. Reset PopCycle and once again set the frequency of allele A in the gene pool to 0.8. Now start making zygotes by clicking on the gene pool. Watch the graph of zygote genotypes as it grows. A. The frequency of allele will change from 0.8 in the next generation as the simulation uses a fixed population size. For the allele frequency to remain unchanged apart from the coditions of absolute fitness, no migration and no mutation, the population size should be infinite but as only a fixed number of zygotes are being shepherd to adulthood, it is expected that the allele frequency may not remain the same.

B. As mentioned in A, the genotype frequency has deviated from ideal expectation because of fixed number of zygotes studied in the simulation. As this is addressed and more and more zygotes are added, the frequency of A will be closer to 0.8 or ideal expectation of no change of allele frequency from generation to generation.

The popluation size is an important consideration in determinig the allele frequencies over generations as random genetic drift which can lead to alteration in allele frequencies is common in small population . The effect of random genetic drifts decreases with increase in population size.
