1) proteins have diffrent domains to exhibit multiple functionality.side chains are critical to protein structure because they can bond with one another to hold a length of protein in a certain shape or conformation.The dna binding proteins have affinity to single or double stranded dna.Sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins generally interact with the major groove of B-DNA, because it exposes more functional groups that identify a base pair.

The disulfide bonds are strong, with a typical bond dissociation energy of 60 kcal/mole (251 kJ mol−1). However, being about 40% weaker than C–C and C–H bonds, the disulfide bond is often the "weak link" in many molecules.
