We have to make 200 mL PBS

Use C1/V1= C2/V2

C1V1 = Concentration/amount (start) and Volume (start)

C2V2 = Concentration/amount (final) and Volume (final)

In case of NaCL

C1V1 = C2V2

200mM× x mL =137 mM ×200 mL

x= 137 mM ×200 mL/200mM

x=13.7 mL or NaCL = 13.7 mL

In case of KCL

C1V1 = C2V2

500mM × y mL =2.7 mM ×200 mL

y=2.7 mM ×200 mL/500mM

y=1.08 mL or KCL = 1.08 mL

Adjust solution to desired pH (typically pH ≈ 7.4).
