If the wire is parallel to the field, no cutting is taking place, so no force is produced.

The force action on the wire is zero because the field is parellel to it therefore Lorenz equation gives zero (vector)

The force on a current carrying wire is

F = ILBsin(theta)

I = 4.5 A
L = 0.35 m
B = 0.53 T
theta = 90, so that part cancels out as the sine90 = 1

F=4.5*0.35*0.53sin90

F=0.834N
