Answer #1

1) The solubility of gaseous solute is at decreased higher temperature, and CO2 pressure in the can is increased. When a can of warm soda is opened, more CO2 is released producing less spray.

2) In a saturated NaCl solution, the rate at which solid NaCl dissolves is matched the rate at which NaCl recrystallizes, and so the concentration of NaCl in solution is constant.

Part A)

given volume of mouthwash bottle = 350 ml

typical mouthwash solution concentration  = 22.5%(v/v)

that is 22.5 x 350/100 = 78.75 ml is alcohol

Part B)

with concentration of champagne = 14%(v/v)

total volume = 800 ml

Volume of alcohol = 14 x 800/100 = 112 ml
