Location : Covalent bonds inside our DNA makes hydrogen electropositive and nitrogen and oxygen electronegative, for this nearby hydrogen and nitrogen molecules attract each other.

Definition : This week electrostatic attraction is called Hydrogen bond. ATP in our cell can break this bond thereby it is extremely useful for cell division.

Role: DNA has four nucleobase, Adenine, Guanine, Thymine and Cytosine. They make DNA and Hydrogen bong keeps them together.

In the above picture this is shown. The dotted lines are hydrogen bond.

In water this bond can form long chain of water molecules. Water's boiling point is high because of these bonds. This makes water to exist for large range of temperature. Also while water freezes, to keep inter atomic distance large for hydrogen bond. water expands with low temperature. This is responsible for ice sheet to float above large water bodies and to keep lower water insulated from freezing, so aquatic life can live because of this in freezing cold condition.
