Answering the first question as HOMEWORKLIB policy

H0 : = 15

HA : 15

Sample size = 50

Sample mean = 14.15

Sample standard deviation = SD = 3

A) Test statistic = Z = (15 - 14.15) / 3 = 0.28333

B) P value = 0.61 [from Excel formula Norm.s.dist(0.28333,1) ]

C) Given that, Alpha = 0.05, since the p value is greater that 0.05, there is not enough evidence that we can reject HoHence, we'll accept the Null Hypothesis.

D) The rejection rule is that if P-value is less than 0.05 (confidence interval), then we can reject the Null Hypothesis. For this problem, we'll accept the Null Hypothesis.
