Mitochondria makes around 90 % of energy, required by our nody. If if get failed or less efficient to make energy,most of the processes of our body will get hampered which will ultimately cause the dysfunctioning of perticluar body organs.
Mitochondrial diseases are either inherited or acquired. It can be acquired by the spontaeous mutation in the mitochondrial/geomic DNA, whihc will cause the disrution in RNA and protein sysnthesis (requred for the functioning of the mitochondria).
These diseases are very difficult to diagnose as it effect differently to each individual. The probable symptoms are strokes, inability to walk properply, problams in talking, eyesight issues, severe devlopmetal delay etc.
