THERAPUTIC ELEMENT OF COMMUNICATION IS TRANSPERENCY

because transperancy can improve workplace communication because transparency begates trust ,and that tust creates an environment in which people are more likely to be honest ,share ideas and knowledge amd collaborate towards a common goal.

The contest of trasperancy in communication is as simple as no secrets.It is taking actions in such a way that others can easily see them.People like to know things.No one feels comfortable being sourrounded by secrets and hidden information.

2)Therapeutic techniques includes, clarifying and valdiating ,encouraging formation of a plan of action,focusing and re-focusing.

Listening,maintaining neutral responses,maintaining silence.

Providing acknowledgement and feedback,Providing information and presenting reality,Providing non-verbal encouragement,reflecting,restating,sharing perceptions,summarizing,using broad openings and open-ended questions.

Phases of a trust building in therapeutic nurse client relationship

1)Pre interaction phase

It begins before the nurse first contact with the client..

The nurses task in the pre-interaction phase is to focus on his or her own pre-conceived ideas,sterotypes,biases and values that may impinge on the nurse client relationship.

2)Orientation or introductory phase

A)Accepatance,trust,and boundaries are established

B)Expectations and time phrame of the relationship are identified.

C)Client centred goals are defined

D)Termination and seperation of the relationship are discussed in anticipation of the time limited nature of the relationship.

3)Working Phase

A)Exploring ,focusing on and evaluating the clients concerns and problems occurs.

B)Encouraging independence in the client facilitates recovery and leads to readiness for termination.

4)Termination or seperation Phase

A)Prepare the client for termination and seperation on initial contact.

B)Evaluate progress and achievement of goals

C)Identify responses such as anger,distancing from the relationship,a return of symptoms and dependency

D)Encourage the client to express feeling about termination

E)Identify the clients strength and anticipated needs for follow up care.

F)Refer the client to community resourses and other support systems.

The way we communicate with others is a primary way we build trust along with specific behaviours and actions,communication serves as the vehicle for building trust in relationships.What we see,How we see it and How we respond what others communicate can make or break trust.

While communication is necessary to keep the genuineness,respect,and empathic understanding to develop a therapeutic nurse-client relationship.The nurse should be cared in a holistic manner.

The nurse should consider the clients cultural beliefs and values in assessing the clients response to the nruse-client relationship or his or her adaptation to stressors.Make appropriate limits and boundaries to facilitates therapeutic relationship.Hoenst and open communication are important for development of trust.The nuirse should respect confidentiality.

The goal of nuse client relationship is to assiat the client to develop problem solving abilities and coping mechanisms.
