Solution: Traditional method - In this the species-accumulation curve was plotted Calculation and plotting the mean and standard deviation of number of species of the smallest sample size. . Likewise all combinations of other sample size are randomized and the mean cumulative number of species is calculated The traditional method takes into account of variance in number of species between samples, but does nottake into account the fact that within the total area sampled there may be heterogeneity between subareas such that one subarea is species-rich, another subarea species-poor and intermediate subareas of moderate richness. Thus there is a need to randomizing all the samples with the sub area heterogeneity which is ignored in the graph. For plotting the same curve for other location we need to plot these 12 points again/or there will be new points generated considering the sub area based sampling We need to evaluate: the number of species collected in a particular total area to determine the species density and then plot two separate curves for the giventwo area.l
