Answer #1

A patient who is critically ill or needs vigorous care are inserted with a central line to administer drugs and fluids.

There are plenty of microorganisms which will cause disease when the patient has an invasive tube inserted in the body though to help patient recover through treatment

More than this a best quality care is necessary for preventing CLABSI to avoid growth of organisms

The following has to be done

  • Strict handwashing
  • Follow aseptic method during procedure
  • Avoid femoral central line which is highly infectious due to the area
  • Proper skin preparation and sterlie method while insertion

Hence if a good quality care is not given there are increased chance of infection.
