Answer #1

Answer- An increase in length of the parental strand.

The strand slippage (mispairing) during replication process, DNA strand to fold and pair on itself and forms the hairpin loop or stem-loop structure. The formation of hairpin loop results into the increase in the repeated sequences which causes the replication of the daughter strand(lengthening of daughter strand). This process doesn't affect the length of the parental strand,it remains intact.
