Question

Consider the balanced chemical reaction for the complete combustion reaction of cyclopropane gas (C,H): a) What compounds are on the left of the reaction (reactants)? Provide the names in alphabetical order (not the formulas, and dont worry about the stoichiometric coefficients for this part), and write the states of each matter **For example if you have 2 NO, (g), you just write nitrogen dioxide in gas state in state, and in state. b) What compounds are on the right of the reaction (products)? Provide the names in alphabetical order (not the formulas, and dont worry about the stoichiometric coefficients for this part), and write the states of each matter. *For example if you have 2 NO, (a). you just write nitrogen dioxide in gas state in state, and in state c) The molar ratio of CO. H2O is division, for example for 6:2 you write 3 d) By burning 4.2 g of cyclopropane, Provide the whole number after moles of CO2 is produced 汝: F3 F4 FS

Answer #1

Consider the balanced chemical reaction for the complete combustion reaction of cyclopropane gas (C,H): a) What compounds are

explanation:

complete balanced equation

2C3H6 + 9 O2 ------------------> 6CO2 + 6 H2O

2 moles C3H6 ----------------> 6 moles CO2

0.1 mole C3H6 ---------------> 6 x 0.1 / 2 = 0.3 moles CO2

moles of C3H6 calculate by the formula

moles = mass / molar mass

          = 4.2 / 42

         = 0.1

    POGIL-Stoichiometry How do chemists use balanced chemical equations? got bit D 23 mosquitoes? 10 He got Mol-aria Why? Chemists use balanced chemical equations as a basis to calculate how much reactant is needed or product is formed in a reaction. This is called Stoichiometry- (stoi-key-ah-meh-tree) Another way of looking at it is using the mole ratio from the balanced equation and information about one compound in the reaction to determine information about another compound in the equation. A mole ratio...
