Answer #1

1. In plants, as in all eukaryotic life-forms, the cell cycle comprises the processes of cell division, constituted by three preparatory phases (G1 , G2 , and S), followed by mitosis (nuclear division) which has 4 phases prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and finally cytokinesis (cytoplasm division).

2. In animals, as in all eukaryotic life-forms, the cell cycle comprises the processes of cell division, constituted by three interphases phases (G1 , G2 , and S), followed by Mitosis with prometaphase & cytokinesis together define the mitotic (M) phase of an animal cell cycle.
